Moth's Wings

Jahni Ittel's sculptures are made from tissue paper, coffee filters, kroger bags, and newspaper. These weightless sculptures are made to look like moth's wings under a microscope. They are approximately 8 ft x 12 ft each and are installed suspended from the ceiling by twine and fishing line. The above installations are from MAKETANK Projects in College Corner, Ohio, The West Street Art Center in Madison, Indiana, and the Oxford Community Art's Center in Oxford, Ohio. The wedding dress is made from newspaper articles written by the model wearing the dress.
